Activity Point 3 - Biodiversity

Biodiversity is a term used to describe the enormous variety of life on Earth. Warrenpoint Municipal Park is host to a wide range of species in its ecosystem. In Video 1 we will develop our understanding of the term Biodiversity and the role of Biodiversity Officers in the district. In Video 2 we will go through the positive benefits of Biodiversity and how we can assist the Park by recording species or further developing our own gardens.

NMDDC Biodiversity Officer helps us to understand ‘biodiversity’ and what part we can all play to support our ecosystem.

NMDDC Biodiversity Officer gives further advice and information about resources available and actions we can take in our gardens.

Why not sit on a park bench and immerse yourself in the biodiversity of the Park. You can use the biodiversity information sheets below to identify the different insects and plants that may be found in the Park. Go explore!
